Volunteering in SVSD

The Snoqualmie Valley School District welcomes the involvement of families and community members who are committed to supporting the success of our students. If you are interested in volunteering at school, please inquire about opportunities at your school office and follow the steps below. Volunteer applications are processed at each school site. If you're approved by one school, you'll also be eligible to volunteer at any other Snoqualmie Valley schools for two school years.

All who volunteer in our schools must be approved as follows:

  1. Read the SVSD Volunteer Handbook.
  2. If you agree to these guidelines, please fill out and sign our Volunteer Applications and return the forms to your school office with a copy of your official photo identification n order to process a background check. (If you are applying to volunteer for a specific event, please allow at least 48 hours prior to your event.)
  3. You will be notified when your application is approved. If approved, your volunteer application is good for two school years at any Snoqualmie Valley school.

UPDATE:  Starting Nov. 1, 2022, volunteers will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination or obtain a medical or religious exemption to be eligible to volunteer with students. This requirement expires Oct. 31, aligning with the governor's latest directive regarding COVID-19.

Please note: Schools have discretion to determine who is allowed to be on campus. As we continue to monitor for COVID-19 or influenza outbreaks, our schools may choose to limit volunteers or visitors to minimize community transmission and help keep schools open.
