Meet Principal John Norberg
John Norberg has been principal of Snoqualmie Elementary School since 2016.
Previously, he taught grades 3-8 for Washington Virtual Academies with the Omak School District, and grades 3-4 in the Steilacoom and Franklin Pierce school districts.
Mr. Norberg has earned a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science and Communications from Washington State University, a master’s degree in Teaching from City University, and his principal’s certificate from Seattle Pacific University.
Currently, he lives in North Bend with his wife, Finley, and their two boys.
Meet Assistant Principal Valerie Li
Valerie Li has been the assistant principal at SES since 2016, as well as the SVSD Early Childhood Administrator, overseeing the district’s preschool and daycare programs, since 2021.
Prior to working at SVSD, she worked in Early Childhood Special Education across several states, including California, Massachusetts, and Washington. Since settling in Washington in 2008, she has worked with the Seattle and Renton school districts and is thrilled to now call SVSD home.
Mrs. Li earned a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. She also earned graduate degrees from the Harvard Graduate School of Education (Language and Literacy) and the University of Washington (Early Childhood Special Education and Danforth Administrator Program).
She lives in Issaquah and is a proud wife and mom to her boys.
