To report your child’s absence:

Before 9:15 a.m.: please call our 24-hour attendance line and leave a message or email our registrar. If you do this, it will not be necessary to write a note after the absence. If the office has not heard from you by 10:15 a.m., parents/guardians will be notified.

Early check out: If you are checking your student out early, please come to the office to sign them out. Always allow extra time for the office to call them out of class.

Extended absence: If your student will be absent more than 5 days, please fill out a Request for Excused Absence form.

Making up work: Students who have been absent have the right to make up assigned work upon their return to school. It is the student's responsibility to obtain assigned work from their teacher upon returning. Failure to make up the missed assignments within the designated time may result in a reduction of the student's grade.

Truancy or unexcused tardiness:  Any student arriving late to school, after 9:15 am, is considered tardy. If you are tardy to school in the morning you must report to the front office to check in with the attendance secretary and sign in. Tardy students must have a pass from the office in order to be admitted to their classrooms.  Please help teach your students the importance of punctuality:

  • 9:00 a.m. - School playground opens and breakfast is served.
  • 9:15 a.m. - Bell rings. Students should be in their seats and ready for learning.
