Mission Statement

In partnership with families and the community, we create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported. Through play-based and individualized instruction, we build on each child’s strengths and teach foundational skills for lifelong learning.

Our Learning Approach

At Snoqualmie Valley School District Early Learning Center, we are committed to nurturing the whole child and inspiring joyful learners through a play-based, developmentally appropriate, and research-driven approach.

We create an inclusive, engaging, and responsive learning environment where children feel they belong. By fostering positive relationships, independence, and curiosity, we help children develop confidence and essential skills that prepare them to be active, caring members of the kindergarten community and beyond.

Our approach is rooted in evidence-based best practices that support social, emotional, and academic growth. Through these practices, we cultivate resilience, problem-solving, and a passion for lifelong learning. We are dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of every child, ensuring equitable access to high-quality early learning experiences that celebrate each child’s unique strengths and background.

We recognize that families are a child’s first and most important teachers. That’s why we partner with families and our community to provide a strong foundation for every child. Our highly trained educators work collaboratively to ensure that each child has the tools, confidence, and support needed to thrive in school and life.

Preschool Peers

The preschool program is open to all 3 and 4-year olds who live in the boundaries of the Snoqualmie Valley School District (students should be 3 years old by August 31 of the current school year). This would include students interested in joining our Transition 2 Kindergarten (T2K) program.

The peer program is one component of our Developmental Preschool; our curriculum is built on fostering an environment of inclusion and acceptance with all our kids learning alongside each other. Children do not have to be toilet trained to attend preschool. During the school year families are responsible for the drop off and pick up of their preschooler.
