WELCOME! Kindergarten is offered to all students who turn five years of age by August 31. The first step for families with students entering kindergarten is to enroll their student. Online enrollment opens February 4, 2026, for the 2026-27 school year.

NOTE: Students currently attending the Snoqualmie Valley School District's Early Learning Center (preschool program) do not need to go through the enrollment process.
Listen to our Kindergarten Podcast
Last spring our school district featured kindergarten teacher Mrs. Scourey from Fall City Elementary and two kindergarteners in an episode of our podcast, Voices of the Valley. We strongly recommend giving it a listen — it’s fun, heartwarming, and offers a wonderful glimpse into the joyful start of school life. The episode also highlights what to expect at the beginning of the school year and shares helpful ideas for how you can help get your child kindergarten-ready. You can find the episode on our district website or wherever you listen to podcasts.

Kinder Meet & Greet
Kinder Meet & Greet events take place on an afternoon in August. (Please check back for the 2026 date.) Students will spend time in our kindergarten classrooms engaging in activities, interacting with peers, and working with multiple teachers. They will even get a chance to experience a short recess at their new school. This is a time for students only in our classrooms.
Family Connection Meetings
Family Connection Meetings occur during the first three days of school, providing one-on-one time with the teacher to build a relationship and ease the transition. Families will receive a ParentSquare message from their child’s teacher with instructions to schedule a meeting between August 26-28. Then, get ready for the first day of Kindergarten on August 31, 2026!
