Welcome to the Art Room

Every child is creative. The goal in the art room is to make it a place where students feel comfortable exploring, experimenting, getting messy, making mistakes, and—most importantly—having fun as they discover their own creative voice.

Throughout the year, we’ll draw, paint, build, sculpt, design, and create with all kinds of materials. We’ll learn about artists and cultures from around the world, try new techniques, and celebrate the unique ideas and perspectives each student brings to our classroom.

Art Room Values

The three art-room rules are simple:

APPRECIATE
Appreciate the art, ideas, and creativity of others.

RESPECT
Respect our classroom, our materials, and one another.

 TRUST
Trust yourself, your ideas, and your creative instincts.

The art room is a place to take chances, try something new, and discover what you can create. There’s no single “right” way to be an artist—your ideas and imagination matter!

We can’t wait to see what our students imagine, explore, and create this year.

Let’s make some art!
