End of the Year:  It’s almost here!  Wednesday is the last day of school for kindergarten students, and first through fifth grade will finish Thursday at 11:55.  We’ve had an incredible year and we’d like to thank you for sharing your children with us.  The staff at SES would like to wish you a great summer filled with fun family time!  We hope you make many happy memories!

Recognition Assembly:  Please join us for our final Recognition Assemblies. Both primary and intermediate assemblies will take place on Thursday morning.  First and second grade begins at 9:15, and third through fifth will start at 10:00.

Lost and Found:  The pile of clothing we’re currently storing in lost and found is enormous!  If your child is missing something, there is a very good chance it could be here among the pile.  Please drop by between now and the end of the year to take a look.  We will be donating the remaining items to charity when school ends.

Good-Bye Mrs. Formisano:  While Jan Formisano is no longer a classroom teacher here at SES, we were fortunate enough to have her onsite for part of each day this year helping with our literacy goals.  She leaves us this spring to head to the district office for a full-time job as a Literacy TOSA.  Congratulations Jan!  We’ll miss you much!

No More Homework Club!

MSHS Choir Rummage Sale:  Please mark Saturday, June 14th on your calendar!  The Mount Si High School Choir will be having their fifth annual Rummage Sale in the back parking lot.  The event will be held from 9:00 to 2:00 and all proceeds go directly to the choir program. Please see the attachment.

Bring the Kids to the Bike Safety Rodeo:  The Tanner Jeans Memorial Foundation and the City of Snoqualmie Police Department are pleased to announce that the 4th Annual Tanner Jeans Memorial Bike Safety Rodeo will be on Saturday, June 14, 2008.  The Bike Safety Rodeo will be at the Community Park and Cascade View Elementary School on Ridge Street in Snoqualmie from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

This is a fun, family-oriented event designed to promote child bike safety skills and learning. It is the most-highly attended bike safety rodeo in East King County. Last year, more 650 children participated in the event.

Bike safety and helmet inspections will be conducted and the ever-popular bike safety obstacle course will be run by various local law enforcement officers. Tee-shirts and a special safety certificate will be given to all participants.

New helmets will be provided free of charge to any child who needs one.

Free food, beverages and snacks are available for all who attend. Kid bouncers, face painters and balloon makers, as well as several area vendors will be on hand to entertain kids while they learn

British Soccer Camp:  If your child is interested in improving their soccer skills, the British Soccer Camp is returning to Fall City Elementary Fields during the week of August 11th -15th.  You can register online at www.challengersports.com  It is a great way to learn new skills and get in shape for soccer season.  Please consider hosting one of the coaches for the week.  It is a wonderful experience getting to know these talented young men and women!
